More than 800 people will stand trial in Yemen over July riots that killed 43 civilians and police and injured about 300 more, the interior minister told parliament on Saturday.
Rashad Al Eleimi told parliament that 31 civilians and 12 police were killed, and 302 were injured. Some 2,245 people were arrested during the violence, he said.
He said that 841 people will stand trial, while 1,404 — including some children — have been released.
